Champions for Youth (CFY) is the core charitable program of the Century Club of San Diego, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit that manages the Farmers Insurance Open, San Diego’s PGA TOUR event. CFY is a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign that strives to strengthen our charity partners’ ability to achieve long-term goals by providing development support and opportunities for collaboration, volunteerism, and brand exposure.

How It Works

Six local charities fundraise from December 1 – January 31, the final day of the 2021 Farmers Insurance Open. Depending on the amount raised and number of donors each charity has, organizations receive additional funds from the Farmers Cares Bonus Pool. The 2021 Farmers Cares Bonus Pool is $285,000. Last year, organizations earned a 45% median return on donation, meaning for every $1 donated, the charities received $1.45.
