APGA Tour Farmers Insurance® Invitational

Established in 2010, the APGA Tour is an inclusive non-profit organization with the mission to prepare African Americans and other minority golfers to compete and win at the highest level of professional golf, both on tour and in the golf industry. This will be accomplished through professional tournaments, career development and mentoring sessions.

  • Dates: January 27 and 28, 2024
  • Location: Torrey Pines Golf Course, North and South Course
  • 2023 Results: Marcus Byrd birdied the last two holes to shoot the low round of the final day with a 3-over-par for a four-stroke win, securing his third career APGA Tour victory at the APGA Tour Farmers Insurance Invitational. Coming off a stellar end to the 2022 season which saw Byrd win the APGA Tour Farmers Insurance Fall Series bonus, Byrd took home the $30,000 winner’s check and a PGA TOUR exemption into The Honda Classic.

The APGA Tour Farmers Insurance brings together 18 APGA Tour players to compete for a $100,000 purse on the North and South Courses at Torrey Pines Golf Course. The field consists of players who qualify throughout the previous year’s APGA Tour season via the Lexus Cup points list, the Farmers Insurance Fall Series standings, the APGA Collegiate Rankings, the APGA Cisco Junior Series and committee exemptions. The final round of the season-opening APGA Tour event is televised nationally on Golf Channel to showcase the APGA on a PGA TOUR venue following the conclusion of the Farmers Insurance Open.
