Farmers Insurance Commits $810,000 to San Diego At-Risk Youth Charities

SAN DIEGO – (July 29, 2016) The Century Club of San Diego announced today that Farmers
Insurance, the title sponsor of the Farmers Insurance Open, San Diego’s PGA TOUR event, has
committed more than $800,000 to the Tournament’s “Champions for Youth” program over the
next three years. The Farmers funds provide an annual bonus pool that, in turn, incentivizes
additional donor contributions to each charity.

In 2016, more than $1.4 million was distributed to the participating charities through the
program, which was a more than 26 percent increase over the previous year’s fundraising total.

“We are thrilled to help uplift San Diego at-risk and underserved youth charities through this
contribution,” said Doris Dunn, Director of Community Relations at Farmers Insurance. “The
education, emergency and health services that these charities provide to foster youth, homeless
youth, low income military families and many more are the key to not only changing their lives,
but to changing the communities where we live and work for the better.”

With the three-year commitment the bonus pool in 2017 is $250,000, $255,000 in 2018, and
$260,000 in 2019. In addition, $15,000 each year will be allocated toward on-course
opportunities for the charity partners to educate Tournament fans about their support of San
Diego’s at-risk and underserved youth.

“The long-term support of this program by Farmers Insurance is vital in achieving our mission of hosting a world-class PGA TOUR event to maximize support for the San Diego community,” said Brian O’Callaghan, 2017 General Chairman of the Tournament’s host organization, The Century Club of San Diego. “This is what matters most – that through this unique platform and a broad scope of giving, we are able to help build up those that will make San Diego’s future bright.”
