Activist, New York Times’ Best-Selling Author, and Olympic bronze medalist

Ibtihaj Muhammad is an entrepreneur, activist, speaker, and Olympic medalist in fencing. A 2016 Olympic bronze medalist, 5-time Senior World medalist and World Champion, in 2016, Ibtihaj became the first American woman to compete in the Olympics in hijab.

A sports ambassador with the U.S. Department of State’s Empowering Women and Girls through Sport Initiative, Ibtihaj works closely with organizations like Athletes for Impact and the Special Olympics. Named to Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential list, Ibtihaj is an important figure in a larger global discussion on equality and the importance of sport.

BILLY BEAN
Former MLB Outfielder. SVP, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, MLB

Billy Bean serves at MLB as Senior Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. As a senior advisor to Commissioner Manfred, his role focuses on DE&I, player education, and social justice initiatives. Among his responsibilities, Bean leads all DE&I initiatives from the league office, as well as working with all 30 MLB Clubs to foster an equitable, inclusive, and supportive workplace and baseball experience for everyone.

On July 14, 2014, Bean was announced as Major League Baseball’s first-ever Ambassador for Inclusion. He played in the Major Leagues from 1987-1995. Bean broke into the big leagues with the Detroit Tigers and tied a major-league record with four hits in his first game. He went on to play for the Los Angeles Dodgers before spending his final three seasons with the San Diego Padres.

Billy is a member of the MLB Owners’ D & I Committee. He was instrumental in the development of MLB’s bullying prevention education programming, MLB’s ‘Ahead in the Count’ player education program and elevating the visibility of MLB’s mental wellness resources. He is the author of the book, “Going the Other Way,” and one of the most sought-after keynote speakers in professional sports.

Defying the many odds stacked against him, Kamaiu (Kuh-my-ah) Johnson is a beacon of resilience and strength. As a rising professional golfer, first on the APGA Tour, and now on the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica and through his recently launched, My My Foundation, Johnson is inspiring others to reach for their unlimited potential.

With his foundation and the game of golf, Johnson is striving to break down the generational cycles of poverty and despair for youth living in socioeconomically challenged communities. In addition, he is the ambassador of Invited’s First Tee Gateway Program in which standout youth are awarded free memberships to Invited facilities.
