The Draw Process

There are 68 total foursomes and 68 professionals selected from the top 100 money winners on the PGA TOUR. Each professional will have a designated tee time and course on which he will play, which will, in turn, determine the tee time and course of the team who selects that professional.

Teams will sit together at the table that corresponds with their team number. Each individual will be provided with their team number at the Pairings Party check-in. The names , tee times and courses of the Professional players will be outlined on papers placed at each team table, so that a team can collaborate prior to, and during the draft to track top picks based on the team’s priorities and Professionals available for selection.

Once the draw begins, the computerized draw system will, at random, produce a team number that is “up” as well as the next team that is “on deck.” Once a team is up, they will have 30 seconds to select, based on the professionals that have not yet been chosen, with whom they would like to play the following day. The computer will go through this process for all 68 teams.

CADDIES

There are two options for a Pro-Am Caddie:

Option 1: Each participant may bring his or her own “caddie,” who may or may not have caddying experience. This “caddie” spot may also be used for a guest without caddying experience, i.e. a son, daughter, friend or client with whom the participant would like to share an inside-the-ropes experience. There is no charge for a participant to bring his or her own “caddie” to the Pro-Am.

Option 2: Reserve a caddie who is required to have caddied Torrey Pines previously. The cost for this service is $125, which includes gratuity and can be paid in advance using the link below, or can be paid the day of the event at check-in.

Pay for Caddie(s) in advance

If the caddie/guest will be arriving separately from the Pro-Am participant, he or she will park in the Gliderport parking lot (Free Parking 2/4/15) and enter through the main entrance at GliderPort. The guest/caddie will use one of the credentials (Guest or weekly badges) provided to the Pro-Am Participant to gain access to the course. It is then the responsibility of the caddie to meet up with the Pro-Am player to start the round and to obtain the wrist band provided to the Pro-Am player at check-in.
