PRO-AM DRAW

The Monday Pro-Am Draw will be conducted online this year.

How the Draft Works:

Each Pro-Am foursome will be randomly assigned a team number, 1-28. Each PGA TOUR professional will have a pre-determined tee time 8:30AM – 10:40AM and location (#1 or #10 South), which will determine the tee time and location for the foursome that is paired with that professional. A computerized draw system will select at random one team and one professional to pair together for the Pro-Am. The entire draw will be video recorded and posted online to the Sycuan Pro-Am Player Portal the afternoon of Sunday, February 1, 2015. As soon as the draw is complete, each foursome will receive an email containing the following information:

  • Link to the Pro-Am Draw video and downloadable pairings sheet
  • Team Number
  • Tee Time and Tee Location
  • PGA TOUR Professional name and biography

Additionally, each player will be sent a text message notification that the draft is complete and their tee time, location and PGA TOUR Professional.

CHECK-IN & BREAKFAST

Pro-Am check-in on the day of the event will be located at the Torrey Pines driving range. Participants will valet their vehicle in the main lot. The valet drop off location will be directly in front of Pro-Am check-in. Click here to see route to Pro-Am Valet/Check-In

Participants can enjoy a hearty breakfast with the opportunity to have a chef build the breakfast burrito of choice for each participant or, participants may opt for one of the lighter breakfast selections available.

The putting green and driving range will be available for warm up and will feature product demonstrations by TaylorMade Golf Company. The products available for demonstration/testing will be of the newest TaylorMade technology and will be available for selection in the Pro-Am Gifting Suite following play.

PRO-AM SHUTTLE

If a participant is teeing off from the 10th Tee South, he or she MUST take the 10th tee shuttle approximately 20 minutes prior to his or her tee time. The two 10th Tee Shuttle locations will be clearly indicated by signage the day of the Pro-Am. One pick up location will be situated near the putting green for those participants warming up there and a second pickup location will be near the driving range. The Century Club Pro-Am committee will direct participants to the shuttle pick up locations.

PRO-AM AFTER-PLAY RECEPTION

Immediately following the round, the Pro-Am player and the person with the participant’s Pro-Am guest badge are invited to enjoy the Sycuan Pro-Am After-Play Reception at Trophy Club Presented By Hyundai, located on the 18th Fairway, South Course for complimentary food, beverages, gifting and great sightlines. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 teams after the conclusion of play (approximately 6:00PM).

CADDIES

There are two options for a Pro-Am Caddie:

Option 1: Each participant may bring his or her own “caddie,” who may or may not have caddying experience. This “caddie” spot may also be used for a guest without caddying experience, i.e. a son, daughter, friend or client with whom the participant would like to share an inside-the-ropes experience. There is no charge for a participant to bring his or her own “caddie” to the Pro-Am.

Option 2: Reserve a caddie who is required to have caddied Torrey Pines previously. The cost for this service is $125, which includes gratuity and can be paid in advance using the link below, or can be paid the day of the event at check-in.
Click Here to pay for Caddie(s) in advance

If the caddie/guest will be arriving separately from the Pro-Am participant, he or she will park in the Gliderport parking lot (Free Parking 2/2/15) and enter through the main entrance at GliderPort. The guest/caddie will provide the name of the Pro-Am Participant for whom they are a guest/caddie to gain access to the course. It is then the responsibility of the caddie to meet up with the Pro-Am player to start the round and to obtain the wrist band provided to the Pro-Am player at check-in.

HANDICAPS

All handicaps will be verified. Per PGA TOUR guidelines, unverified handicaps play as a zero or scratch.

If you are not affiliated with a club or do not have a handicap index, you will need to submit 5 current, authenticated scorecards to the Tournament Office by January 15. If you will be submitting scorecards, please contact Julianne Alarcio, Jalarcio@CenturyClubSD.org for more information.

The Tournament reserves the right to modify the handicaps of players based on unusual handicap records or exceptional performance in past events under USGA Handicap System guidelines. Your January 15 handicap will be used for verification purposes.

Handicap strokes for the amateurs will be indicated on the scorecard (based on an 80% Course Handicap played).

FORMAT & RULES OF PLAY

Scoring
Team Score: Use the one Best Ball Net from the amateur team or the PGA TOUR Professional’s score for the hole. The PGA TOUR Professional will keep score for the team.

Tees
PGA TOUR Professional: Tournament Tees
Amateur Men: White Tees
Amatuer Women: Red Tees

Carts
PGA TOUR regulations: Carts are not allowed during the Pro-Am unless by absolute medical necessity verified by a licensed and practicing physician. Please contact Julianne Alarcio at JAlarcio@CenturyClubSD.org by Wednesday, January 28 with a medical necessity cart request.

Attire
During golf events at the Tournament, golf attire is recommended. Shorts are permitted for the Pro-Am.

Alcohol
We kindly ask that each participant follows PGA TOUR rules and does not bring alcohol on course.

Range Finders
Per PGA TOUR regulations, distance measuring devices will not be permitted during the Pro-Am.

PAR IS YOUR FRIEND: If you are out of the hole and cannot help, please pick up your ball. This will help promote faster, more enjoyable play for all. As an example, if one member of the team makes a net birdie on a hole and another member cannot do any better than net birdie or worse, then pick up. If the TOUR Professional makes birdie on a hole and the other members of the team cannot do better than net birdie, then pick up. USGA Rules of Golf and local rules will be in effect.
