2008 WINTER SCORE CARD
Diamond in the Rough Gala
The 2009 Diamond in the Rough Gala presented by North Island Credit Union will mark its fourth year of this highly successful event. The black-tie optional event will feature Wine Tasting, Silent and Live Auctions, Dinner and Entertainment. The Gala is scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, California. Staying true to the Mission Statement of the Century Club, all proceeds from this event will go to charity.

This year, guests will be entertained by famed comedian/ actor/impressionist Frank Caliendo. From his many appearances on the Late Show with David Letterman to his “dead on” impressions of John Madden, Caliendo is a veteran performer who now can be seen on his own television show Frank TV on the TBS network.
This year's sole beneficiary is the Monarch School. Monarch School is a unique collaboration of the San Diego County Office of Education and the Monarch School Project. It is dedicated to providing homeless and at-risk children ages 7 to 18 years of age with an opportunity to achieve their dreams of living normal productive lives. They are able to receive an accredited education while caring for their basic needs that include food, clothing, medical care and the tools they need to break the cycle of homelessness.
The three previous Diamond in the Rough Gala dinners have raised over $700,000 for charity.
