Diamond in the Rough Gala
The 2007 Diamond in the Rough Gala was nothing short of an overwhelming success. Improving on its inaugural year, the 2007 Gala included wine tasting, silent and live auctions, dinner, and entertainment by Jay Leno. Due to the overwhelming success of the evening and the Century Club of San Diego's mission to raise funds for the San Diego Community, the Century Club is pleased to announce the Third Annual Diamond in the Rough Gala.
This premier event
is scheduled for
Saturday, January
19, 2008 at the
Manchester Grand
Hyatt in San Diego,
California. This
year, the crowd
will be entertained
by none other than
the unforgettable
Natalie Cole. Cole has wowed audiences for years with her
class and style that has earned her 8 Grammy Awards during
her career./p>
As with the Mission Statement of the Century Club, all proceeds from this event will go to charity. This year’s sole beneficiary is the Monarch School. Monarch School is a unique collaboration of the San Diego County Office of Education and the Monarch School Project. It is dedicated to providing homes for at-risk children 7 to 18 years of age with an opportunity to achieve their dreams of living normal productive lives. They are able to receive an accredited education while caring for their basic needs that include food, clothing, medical care and the tools they need to break the cycle of homelessness.
