JOIN IN THE “ TIGER HUNT”
As the Executive Director of the Century Club of San Diego, Tom Wilson knew that the Tiger Hunt
had the potential to be a success due to its unique opportunity. However, what he did not realize
was the magnitude of this event. In its first year, the Tiger Hunt, along with a gala and charity tournament,
raised over $468,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito. The Tiger Hunt event is
a drawing which enables participants to have the chance to play a round of golf with the four-time
reigning Buick Invitational Champion, Tiger Woods. Each ticket is sold for $250 and only 1,000
tickets are sold. Proceeds from each ticket sold will benefit children at the Boys& Girls Clubs of
San Dieguito. Serving over 19,000 youth in north
coastal San Diego County, the Boys & Girls Clubs of San
Dieguito will use the funds for scholarships for disadvantaged
youth to attend their branches and programs.
The Century Club of San Diego partners with the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito because they see this drawing as a priceless opportunity for both avid golfers and children. This drawing allows young children the chance to gain necessary skills and knowledge that will enable them to be successful in the future, while avid golfers have the chance of a lifetime to learn from one of the greatest golfers of all time.
The drawing offers three main prizes. In addition to the grand prize being a round of golf with Tiger during the AT&T Pro-Am on January 24, 2007, the winner will receive a golfer’s dream prize package. The Prize package includes everything from a Callaway shopping spree to practice rounds on Saturday, January 20th & Sunday, January 21st. The second place winner receives a foursome playing in the AT&T Pro-Am on Wednesday, January 24th, a gift prize valued at $22,000. The third prize winner will receive a foursome playing in the Sycuan Resort Pro-Am, Monday, January 22nd, a prize package valued at $10,000.
