Benefiting Monarch School

The 2011 Diamond in the Rough Gala presented by Datron World Communications, Inc. will mark its sixth year of this highly successful event. The black-tie optional event will feature Wine Tasting, Silent and Live Auctions, Dinner and Entertainment. The Gala is scheduled for Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California. Staying true to the Mission Statement of the Century Club, all proceeds from this event will go to charity.

In past years, guests have been entertained by famed comedians such as Jay Leno and Frank Caliendo as well as famous musicians such as Tricia Yearwood and Natalie Cole. This year's well known performer will be Dana Carvey.

This year's sole beneficiary is the Monarch School. Monarch School is a unique collaboration of the San Diego County Offi ce of Education and the Monarch School Project. It is dedicated to providing homeless and at-risk children ages 7 to 18 years of age with an opportunity to achieve their dreams of living normal productive lives. They are able to receive an accredited education while caring for their basic needs that include food, clothing, medical care and the tools they need to break the cycle of homelessness.
