Q. What is the proper way for donors to fill out checks?

A. The check should be written to The Century Club of San Diego with Champions for Youth and the designated charity specified in the memo. Please click here to see a sample.

Q. If a donor does not fill out a donation card with their check, do I need to fill one out for them?

A. If the donor’s name and mailing address to which a tax letter should be sent appear on the donation check, then no, you do not need to fill out a donation card with their information. If the check does not have a mailing address, please provide it on either a donation card or separate note when submitting the donation.

Q. When are tax letters mailed to donors?

A. Tax letters are mailed to donors once each week, usually on Fridays.

Q. What are the dates of this year’s Champions for Youth Campaign?

A.The first day that Champions for Youth donations may be accepted is the day of the Tee-Off Celebration on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. The last day donations may be accepted is Sunday, January 31, 2016, the last day of the Farmers Insurance Open. Mailed donations must be post-marked by January 31, 2016. The last day to turn in donations (which must be dated October 21-January 31) is Tuesday, February 2, 2016.

Q. What is the minimum donation amount?

A. $5

Q. Does my organization receive 100% of every donation?

A. Yes, The Century Club covers credit card fees and other fees to ensure donors’ full gifts pass through to each charity.
